Cybersickness Survey: Key Factors and Prevention/Reduction Strategies

profile

Welcome to our research project on VR-induced motion sickness (aka cybersickness). We are exploring the factors that cause dizziness and nausea while using VR to make virtual reality experiences more comfortable for everyone — join our study today and be a part of research on combating cybersickness!

Who Can Participate?

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have over two years of experience using VR in gaming, content creation, or research.

Your extensive experience is crucial for understanding the underlying causes of motion sickness in VR (cybersickness).

What Does Participation Involve?

By participating in this survey, you will:

  • Contribute valuable insights into cybersickness.
  • Help identify ways to prevent or reduce cybersickness.

The survey will take approximately 10–20 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, and your data will be kept confidential.

Incentives

As a thank you for your participation, you will have a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $10 to $100 CAD via PayPal. Winners will be notified via email after the survey closes.

Ethics and Confidentiality

This study has been approved by the Simon Fraser University Research Ethics Board. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that all responses are confidential. Data will be securely stored and used solely for research purposes.
